Guidance for Applying to the IRB
The IRB application process starts with your submission of the application form, protocol, consent forms and other required appendices/materials via iRIS. The IRB team pre-reviews your application to make sure all of the necessary materials are there for review. Please note the review cycle outlined in the
Meeting and Deadlines schedule and that the SRB automatically receives all IRB iRIS Applications prior to IRB review.
Two weeks after application
deadlines the appropriate review board will convene and make a decision about your Application. Seven to ten days after a meeting you will receive a letter from the IRB office detailing the outcome of a review board’s meeting in regards to your research.
